Do you have pet friendly Units?

Rental guests are not allowed to bring pets onto the property. 

Do all of the units provide beach equipment?
While beach equipment may be provided in some units its not provided in all units. Beach equipment may be rented through several vendors on the island.
Do all units provide beach towels?
Yes, 4 beach towels per unit is provided for your duration of your stay. Please remember leave beach towels in unit when you check out. A fee will be charged for each missing towel.  
Are bicycles provided with a Smugglers Cove Condo?

No, Bikes may be rented through several local vendors. All bikes must be parked in their designated areas. 

Are Linens provided with Smugglers Cove Condo?

Yes

Are the kitchens fully stocked with pots and pans?

Yes

Are barbecue grills available at the property?

Yes, designated area is under the tiki hut grills. Grills are not allowed in lanais. Please remember to take your utensils with you back to the unit. 

Is smoking permitted?

No

Do all units have washers and dryers?
No, however we have a community laundry room. Which requires credit cards to operate. 
The laundry room is located behind our rental office.
Are cribs or rollaway beds provided at Smugglers Cove Condo?

No, we have several rental agencies on the island that can accommodate your needs.

What is provided in the Welcome Starter kit?
  • 1 roll of toilet paper in each RR
  • 1 roll of paper towels
  • 1 small bottle of dish soap
  • 2 dish-washing pods
  • 1 Soap in each RR
Is parking free?

Yes – permit is required.

Where can I purchase groceries on the island?

Publix 

Is snorkeling available in Southwest Florida?

Yes

Is there a local trolley on Fort Myers Beach to go around the island?

Yes, we have copies of trolley schedules in our rental office. The information is also located in your unit notebook.

Services & Procedures

What are the check in & check out times?

Check in times: 3:00 – 4:30 pm

Check out times: Prior to 10:00 am (no exceptions)

Where do we pick up the keys?

During normal hours they may be picked up at the Rental Office.

What are the instructions for late arrivals?

After 4:30 pm & Holidays obtain your keys and parking permit in the lock box located in front of the office. The lock box code is located on your rental confirmation.

Can another member of my party obtain my key packet if they arrive before me?

We normally do not allow this practice as all guests must register prior to their arrival. For special circumstances we may allow this, prior email authorization of the party must be given in advance. The other member must provide ID.

What is my responsibilities in the property at the time of check out?

The instructions are in your package and are located in your unit notebook. Check out time is prior to 10:00am (no exceptions).

Are daily maid or housekeeping provided?

No.

If I want to ship something ahead of time, to where do I send it?

Please notify the office in advance, please be sure to put your name and what unit you will be staying in, please send all packages to:

What are your hours of operation?

Open Daily 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Office is closed for all major holidays.

Does Smugglers Cove provide a shutle service to and from the airport?

No

Can I have groceries delivered to my rental unit?

Yes, must be present to accept them.

What happens if the unit I a renting is sold or leaves the program prior to my reservation dates?

We will do our best to find comparable accommodations for you.

Policies

What are the check-in policies?

Begins at 3 p.m. Plan your arrival accordingly as keys will not be available prior to 3 p.m. due to cleaning and maintenance schedules. When office is closed, arriving guests will obtain keys & parking permits from the lock-box located directly in front of the office. The code to open the lock-box is printed on the rental confirmation.

What is the after hours check in procedures?

After 4:30pm & Holidays, obtain the keys and parking permit from our lock box in the front office. Lock box code is located on the rental confirmation sent to you via email.

Is early check in and late check out requests availible?

No.

Are guest notified of evacuations due to hurricane or natural disaster?

Yes

Can parking permits be used in public beach parking areas?

No

Are parking permits required for Smugglers Cove Condos?

Yes

May we view the unit prior to making a reservation?

Yes, however, if the unit is occupied at the time of he reservation you may not be able to. You may visit our website to see the unit there.

Are arrival and departure dates restricted to just Saturdays?

Off season will vary, during season only Saturday departures.

Are visitors allowed at Smugglers Cove?

Yes, only for the day.

May I have more people in the property than the maximum number listed?

No. Due to safety concerns we can only allow a certain number of occupants in a unit. Visitors are not allowed to sleep overnight.

Is registration required?

Yes, all guest must register within 24 hour of arrival.

Can odd - date or short stays be reserved at Smugglers Cove?

No must be a 7-day minimum stay.

Do infants or children count in occupancy if they sleep in a crib or with parents?

Yes, even though infants may not sleep in a bed they are still included in the occupancy numbers due to safety concerns and rules of occupancy.

Payment & Pricing

Can we add travel insurance ?

Yes, please view that section of the website.

Do you accept credit cards for payments?

Not all credit cards accepted, we only accept Visa, MasterCard, & Discover

Do you accept checks?

Yes, we accept personal checks, money orders for final payments only. We do not accept checks for the initial down payments only credit cards allowed for down payment.

To where do we mail checks and to whom should they be made payable too?

Checks may be payable to Smugglers Cove Condo and mailed to:

Does Smugglers Cove Condo provide discounts for AAA or active military?

No

Is there a discount for repeat renters?

No

When is the final Payment due?

All payments are due 60 days ahead of their scheduled arrival date.

Are there any hidden fees after I reserve the property ?

None, but please review your agreement to confirm what is allowed and what results in additional charges.

Is there a security deposit?

A $300 non-refundable credit card payment is due when reservation is made.

Are the deposits refundable?

No they are not.

Will I be refunded if my stay is cut short or cancelled due to a hurricane?

No, but if you have travel insurance, you may file a claim with that participating agency in the event of a mandatory evacuation order.

What is the cancellation policy?

All cancellations must be in writing (e-mails sent to sunnfun@smugglerscovecondo.com are acceptable), and are effective only upon receipt by Smuggler’s Cove. It is the responsibility of Guest to retain proof of any such cancellation. The initial $300 payment is non-refundable. Cancellations within 60 days of arrival date are non-refundable. Travel protection insurance is recommended in case of any unforeseen events. Visit insuremytrip.com for travel insurance information.

What is a minimum age to rent a unit?

25 years old.
